Concrete Sealers - Preparation

Even though Concrete Floor Sealers are easily applied and make cleaning easier, there is preparation. Before starting you begin you should:

* Ensure all surfaces to be coated are sound, clean and dry

* Remove all dirt, dust, spalling or loose concrete, oil, grease, wax, mildew, efflorescence, curing compounds, form release agents, paint or any other foreign material which might effect bonding

* Scrub all oil and grease with a degreasing compound and rinse thoroughly

* After cleaning oil or grease spots, sprinkle a little water on the cleaned surface to check for residual contamination Oil or grease is still present if the water forms small globules.  If the water is quickly absorbed, the surface is clean.

Concrete Sealers - Application

Apply with a brush, a 3/8” nap roller or with airless spray equipment. Where vehicles will be driven and parked, Concrete Floor Sealer must be applied in thin coats.

Concrete Sealers - Precautions

* Do not apply to any surface which is frozen or contains frost.

* Vapors are harmful.  Use in well ventilated areas.

* Do not use near open flames, motors, pilot lights or any other source of ignition

* In case of contact with skin or eyes, flush with plenty of water.  If burning persists, seek immediate medical  attention.

* Observe safety precautions and follow procedures and follow manufacturer's directions
